Giving Thanks…

I hope y’all had a great and Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I have much to be thankful for… great family and friends, lots of yarn and good food to eat are just a few.

This was my first time making everything for Thanksgiving Day, and it was stressful and fun!  (I didn’t even think to get the camera out – but trust me, my bird was beautiful! – No, really it was!)  I loved having my mom here, it always seems our visits are too short.  They left this morning to get over the pass before the snow came.  Now I’m reading blogs and knitting on her present!  It was so hard not to show her what I doing.  If you are curious it’s on my project page on Ravelry. Clue: greenjeans!

So anyway, I was reading on a knitting blog (big surprise) that lead me to another blog that lead to another blog and so on, and found this about Pay It Forward:

Here is the blurb for the PIF.“I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.”

So I thought, why not!  Here are a few other links that I saw PIF on:

These are in reverse order that I read about this.

I can see you all crowding around–no pushing, just type fast if you really want to be one of my three!
(I promise it won’t be just a continental knit dishcloth 😉

The first 3 people who comment on this post (and want to join) will receive a knit item made by yours truly. You must be willing to make the same promise on your blog and trust me with your address. In return you will receive your item from me before December 2008. I promise you won’t receive a coaster, or a lace shawl, but I will do my best to craft something you’ll like and use. After all, who knows where it might lead?

It would be great to hear from you…….
